Who is the Vegan Treasure Hunter?

HELLO! I’m Julie, animal rights activist and all around vegan warrior! I’m always on the hunt for vegan treasures! Whether it’s a fancy Italian bistro, a small hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, a sports bar, or even Chinese take-out, it’s my goal to share with fellow and aspiring herbivores the best places to find delicious vegan food! I’ll share whether I “Dig It”, and recommend you get your tail to the eatery ASAP, or if I “Ditch it”, and recommend you stay far, far away. I also review vegan and cruelty-free products so you can be fabulous without harming animals!  If you have any suggestions of where I should travel to next or some products you would like me to review, please leave a comment or send a message to VeganTreasureHunter@gmail.com.  I’d love to hear from you! Thanks for stopping by and checking me out on my vegan treasure hunt!

Hi Julie, I just wanted to let you know I love your blog! I live in VA Beach and just when I thought I knew all the vegan hot spots, you opened my eyes to ones I never heard of (and now love- hello China Moon!!). So thanks! I am a little saddened to learn you no longer live in this area, however, I just traveled to Asheville so I look forward to your posts from there as well. It’s a wonderful place for a vegan! My three favorite places to eat when I was there were Bean (so, so good, I went there every single morning of my vacation), Plant, and French Broad Chocolates. Hope you are loving it there.

Thank you so much! You’re right, VB has so many great options. I really miss China Moon! I haven’t found any place that even comes close here in Asheville yet! Oh yes, Bean is my favorite… The Cowboy Burger almost brought me to tears it was so good! Let me know if you come back to Asheville!

I’m not vegan, but eat many vegan meals (and have been using cruelty-free make-up products over 20 years). Good luck with your blog and spreading the good word 🙂
