Reviews:

Helloooo again, my friends! I am so excited to talk to you about these Soaps & Sunflowers products! They really exceeded my expectations, which are always high, to begin with! Alright, let’s get to it!

The first product I tried was the Sugar High Candy Scrub because it smells like Cotton Candy and reminds me of the body mist that everyone and their uncle used when I was in middle school! The scent is super sweet and has a slight menthol-like effect when you smell it. It’s really unique and I gotta say, I love it!

This scrub is sugar-based and contains coconut oil and shea butter. When I first used this, I was SHOCKED at how soft it made my skin! I’m telling you, it’s the softest a scrub has EVER made it! Best of all, it not only leaves your skin soft and moisturized, the Cotton Candy scent sticks around for awhile to sweeten up your day!

The Chai-nning Tatum Body Scrub is also sugar-based and contains coconut oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil. It contains Chai tea and vanilla to give it the delicious scent of a vanilla chai latté. The scent is not as strong as the Sugar High Body Scrub, but it is fabulous nonetheless!

Just like Sugar High, the Chai-nning Tatum (I just love the name!) makes your skin incredibly soft and smooth. Your skin is left delicately fragranced and so hydrated that you can skip the lotion after your shower! I don’t know what it is about this specific formula, but I am really impressed!

Last was the Sweet Tart Bar Soap. I love Love LOVE lemon and citrusy scented soaps and lotions, and this bad boy was no exception! This handmade soap contains canola, castor, coconut, and palm oil*** (see below), along with shea butter to create a truly moisturizing lather. The scent is bright and uplifting and your hands are left feeling soft and clean. You can’t ask for much more than that! Oh, they’re also really pretty… they definitely give me a unicorn vibe with its swirls of pink, yellow, and blue.

The Bottom Line:

Soaps & Sunflowers Bath and Body Co. creates some fantastic vegan and cruelty-free products. The scrubs smell fantastic and they leave your skin unbelievably soft. The Sweet Tart Bar Soap leaves your skin feeling hydrated and smelling beautiful. I highly recommend trying out these products for yourself!

Thank you, Soaps & Sunflowers, for sending me these products to review!

Plaine Products – Natural Vegan Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash Reviews with Discount Code

Company: Plaine Products

Products:

Shampoo (16 fl. oz. / 500 ml)

Conditioner (16 fl. oz. / 500 ml)

Body Wash (16 fl. oz. / 500 ml)

Reviews:

Ok, so I enjoy 98% of the products that I review, for one reason or another. Then…along came Plaine Products! I'm in love!

Their recycling program is a stroke of genius and really sets the bar for other companies to follow. Alright, let's jump right into the reviews!

Plaine Products come in sleek and sturdy aluminum bottles that are recycled after each use. It's simple. If you want to order more products, you simply visit their website and order some! When the new products arrive, you send back your old, empty bottles in the box your shipment came in, along with the shipping label that is included (so shipping back your bottles is FREE!). Plaine Products will refill and reuse your empty bottles. How cool is that?!

You can sign up for subscription services, so you never have to worry about running out of products, or you can order them as you need them. This eliminates all of the plastic waste that you would have accumulated if you were buying standard bath and body products.

Did you know that plastic virtually NEVER breaks down? It just collects in landfills, in our oceans, and in our environment. Think about that. That shampoo bottle that you used 15 years ago and haven't thought about since is polluting the earth somewhere. Doesn't make much sense, does it?

Ok, now we know that Plaine Products has a revolutionary recycling program that will help cut down on a tremendous amount of plastic waste, but how are the actual products?

The Shampoo is free of synthetic fragrances and dyes, petrochemicals, parabens, and sulfates. It is suitable for all hair types and is vegan and cruelty-free (of course!). The scent is a refreshing blend of rosemary, vanilla, and mint. It is herbal, sweet, and invigorating… it's pretty perfect in my humble opinion! The formula of this shampoo is thin, which makes it lather up and rinse out quickly. This shampoo left my hair feeling clean, soft, and noticeably shinier. That is really saying something because my hair is naturally curly and bleached, and just generally begs for help and hydration.

The formulation of the Conditioner is also a thin consistency, with the same fabulous Rosemary, Vanilla, and Mint fragrance. The star ingredients include Aloe, Sunflower and Jojoba Seed Oils, along with Shea and Mango butters.  I was a little worried that this conditioner wouldn't moisturize or detangle my hair enough because I am used to using heavy conditioners and hair masks. However, this conditioner is pretty awesome! It worked through my hair easily and actually lathered up a bit. It reminded me of a conditioning cleanser, which would be perfect for people that do not want to shampoo their hair frequently or have extremely dry locks. In combination with the shampoo, my hair was shiny, manageable, and smelled gorgeous!

The Body Wash has the same signature scent as the other 2 products. It lathered up easily and truly felt luxurious! My skin was left feeling soft and clean with a subtle fragrance. Coconut and Safflower Seed Oils, Vitamin E, Bamboo Silk, and Green Tea are just a few of the all organic, non-GMO ingredients that nourish and hydrate the skin. I just love natural products, they really are the best!

The Bottom Line

I can't say enough good things about this company. Their mission to reduce plastic waste while giving customers healthy, vegan and cruelty-free products is absolutely inspiring! The products themselves make you feel like you're being pampered at a 5-star spa! Your hair will be clean, soft, shiny and manageable. Your skin will feel refreshed and nourished with just a hint of a sweet, minty fragrance.

You really can't go wrong with these products! You will help the environment and animals while taking care of your skin and hair. On top of all of that, these products are delivered right to your door! It doesn't get any better than that!

Head on over to their website to check out their subscription options! Use code "VTH" for 20% off of your order, and me me know how you like the products!

Thank you, Plaine Products, for sending me these fabulous products to review!

Splash Soaps Review

Company: Splash Soaps

Splash Soaps are perfect for adding some fun to your bathing routine! These soaps are handcrafted with love making them truly special!

Talk about unique products… check out this vibrant orange Loofah Soap! It smells of sweet citrus making it perfect for summer time! It creates a rich lather and the attached loofah makes getting clean fun, quick and easy. It leaves a subtle scent on the skin. This is such a great idea. You can really tell that it is “Made With Love.”

These Rock Soaps are SO COOL! These glycerin soaps are clear with vibrant pops of gemstone-like colors. Every soap is different in shape, size, and color. I’ve never seen anything like these before!

This lavender flower soap is as cute as can be! The beautiful purple shade has irridescent glitter that catches the light and just glows! It looks so pretty on your countertop! It easily lathers up and shea butter leaves your hands feeling soft and beautiful.

Right now, Bath Bombs and Rose products are taking over the internet and everyone’s bathtubs, so you really can’t go wrong with this English Rose Bath Bomb! It smells like fresh roses and leaves behind the floral scent on your skin after taking a long, relaxing bath. My skin smelled gorgeous after using this and was definitely moisturized, thanks to coconut oil!

Who says you need your partner to give you a bouquet of roses? Drop this English Rose Bath Bomb into your bathtub, pour yourself a glass of wine, and you’re all set!

This big, fizzy bath bomb is for your feet (they deserve to have their own moment, right?)! It quickly dissolves in warm bath water and contains shea butter and dried mint leaves. If you have ever used bath bombs or soaks that contain dried flowers or herbs, you know that it feels like floating in a big cup of tea! If you’re looking for a bunch of bubbles, this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a relaxing, aromatic foot bath after a long day, you’ll love this one!

This Clean Linen Scented Bath Bomb is fizzy, smells fresh and wonderful, and softens your skin thanks to shea butter!

I love bath bombs that moisturize the skin because it really is the most convenience way to hydrate your entire body (and unwind at the same time). These bath bombs contain shea or coconut butter. Both ingredients are excellent all around moisturizers,  yay!

The Bottom Line

It is easy to see that Splash Soaps products are made with love, care and attention. They are as cute as can be, but they also leave your skin clean and hydrated. With their wide range of truly unique soaps and bath bombs, I highly recommend Splash Soaps! Their website is currently under construction, but you can check out their products on their Instagram feed @my.splash. I will link to the products when the website is up, so check this post for updates!

Thank you, Splash Soaps, for sending me these awesome products to review!!!

La Pink Rose Donut Soap Review

Products:

Poppin’ Pink Donut Soap – $5.00 USD

Chocolate Glazed Donut Soap  – $5.00 USD

Review:

Can we just take a minute and talk about how CUTE these soaps are? They’re (just about) realistic looking enough to eat! From the frosting to the sprinkles, the design of these soaps is spot-on!

These donut soaps measure about 3″ in diameter, making them a good sized hand or body soap. They lather up quickly and nicely with a light to medium lather that rinses off easily. Your hands are left feeling clean, soft, and lightly fragranced. I noticed that this soap does not leave you with that slick (and unpleasant, IMO) feeling that most glycerin soaps leave behind. After multiple uses, the soap still looks pretty on my countertop.

The fragrance certainly smells like super-sweet baked goods. It actually makes me want to whip up a batch of actual donuts and eat them all in one sitting (don’t judge me!). The main ingredient of these soaps is coconut oil, but I feel obligated to state that they do contain palm oil, which may not be considered vegan to some people.

The Bottom Line

If you want some cute soaps, check out La Pink Rose! Just tell your boyfriend or whoever that they’re soap, so they don’t accidentally eat them! La Pink Rose also has body butters that are vegan and sound delicious! Use code “VTH10”  for 10% off of your order!

Thank you, La Pink Rose, for sending me these products to review!

Perfectly Posh Product Review

Company: Perfectly Posh

Consultant: Dene Cobb  IG: @perfectlyposhdene

Products:

Field Better Soon Chunk Bar (Sample Size)

BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Face Wash (Sample Size)

Please note that not all Perfectly Posh products are vegan. All items are cruelty-free (no animal testing).

Review:

The main ingredients of the Field Better Soon Chunk Bar are sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, water, glycerin, and lavender oil.  This bar soap lathered up nicely in warm water and definitely left me feeling clean. While using this bar soap, the scent of lavender is strong, yet it only leaves behind the most subtle scent on your skin. My skin did not feel dry after using this and the lavender scent did actually relax me!

The BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Face Wash was an awesome surprise. It has 24 ingredients, some of which I have no idea what they are, so I didn’t WANT to like it! I prefer natural, less-is-more products.

This cleanser is thick and gel-like and has the tiniest grains to exfoliate away makeup and oil (don’t use it on your eyes, use a separate remover for that). You get a cool kick from the peppermint oil, a fruity zip from the grapefruit oil, and moisture and soothing properties from aloe. My skin felt fresh, clean, and hydrated after using this, so it definitely works!

The Bottom Line

I was interested in trying some products from Perfectly Posh… I’ve seen them over and over again on Instagram and wondered if they were really worth the hype!

The packaging seems to target younger consumers. The products look fun and pretty and I think they did a great job in that department!

In all honesty, I didn’t think I was going to like these products. I’m not a huge fan of lavender or bar soap or cleansers that have more than a few ingredients. However, these products smell wonderful and truly get the job done! I’m a believer! Let me know if you’ve tried some Perfectly Posh products!

Thank you, Dene Cobb, for hooking me up with samples to review!
