Help Ban Fur Sales in California!

On March 12, California’s Water, Parks, and Wildlife Committee will vote on a bill to implement a statewide fur ban, which is the first vote needed in the process of this bill becoming law. Please call and email to urge your representative to vote “Yes” on AB 44 before March 12th! (California residents only)

Find your assembly member’s contact information by entering your zip code at idausa.org/findmyrep and clicking on the “California” tab.

When you call, introduce yourself and where you are calling from, and simply say “Please vote yes on A.B. 44 to implement a statewide fur ban because California residents do not support animal cruelty for vanity.”

The branding is being held on World Day for Farmed Animals and hosted by In Defense of Animals, a charity that has been fighting for animals for 30-years from its Bay Area headquarters.

Calf 269 was born on an Israeli dairy farm and rescued by activists just days before he was to be slaughtered. Animal activists around the world now brand the numbers 269 into their own skin to stand in solidarity with the rescued calf and billions of nameless animal victims of the food industry.

This event is part of a peaceful international protest movement to raise awareness of farmed animal suffering and to build compassion for animals.

Don’t miss out on this unique, once-in-a-lifetime event!

In Defense of Animals is an international animal protection organization with over 250,000 supporters and a 30-year history of fighting for animals, people, and the environment through education, campaigns, and hands-on rescue facilities in India, Africa, and rural Mississippi. www.idausa.org
