Maxine’s Heavenly Cookies Review: As Good As Homemade Vegan Cookies??!

Company: Maxine’s Heavenly

“At Maxine’s Heavenly, we created cookies with simple, pure ingredients, because we believe that food should provide nourishment to your mind and body.
We believe food (including dessert) should be nutrient-rich fuel for your body.
We believe that food could be cooked and baked, not manufactured.
And we believe that we all need to rethink how we treat…our bodies, our food, our lives. We wrote this manifesto to share our beliefs, be transparent about our thoughts, and to underscore the values that we live and bake by.”

Reviews:

When you hear about vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO and soy free cookies, the words “delicious” or “flavorful” may not come to mind. That’s why I am so happy to have gotten to review Maxine’s Heavenly Cookies! These cookies surely break the mold of what “healthy” snacks taste like. Each flavor is sweetened with coconut sugar and made with gluten-free oats, so they’re as satisfying as they are mouthwatering! As always, if you want to get a quick run down of the products, skip to The Bottom Line at the end of this post.

If you’re a chocoholic, the Chocolate Chocolate Chip variety is for you! When you bite into these cookies, you experience chewy oats and a mouthful of chocolatey flavor. The rich and smooth semi-sweet chocolate chips amp up the flavor, making this a truly tasty yet guilt-free treat when you need a chocolate fix!

The Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite! This variety tastes like a cross between a classic almond and chocolate chip cookie. The sweet almond flavor paired with rich chocolate chips, can’t get any better in my opinion. I mean, these bad boys are as close to perfect as you can get!

The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip is a close second for me! Crunchy roasted peanuts, chewy oats, and rich chocolate chips make these the perfect dessert when you want something “bad” but don’t want to undo the 80-minute hot yoga session you sweat through earlier.

My boyfriend’s favorite of the bunch is the Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin. For some reason, oatmeal cookies are always my last choice. I always gravitate towards chocolate, but I’m proven wrong almost every time! These cookies taste like a freshly made bowl of cinnamon raisin oatmeal and they’re absolutely outstanding! The sweetness of the raisins cut through the pleasant bitterness of the cinnamon. I even warmed it up a little bit, and I’m telling you, these are amazing!

The Bottom Line

Maxine’s Heavenly creates desserts that are full of flavor with natural, good for you ingredients. They’re so good that you will forget that they’re actually healthy! They call them a dessert, but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t eat 1 or 2 of these cookies for breakfast!

The hearty oats make them filling and great for any time that you need a sweet pick me up! Each cookie is between 120-140 calories with 2 grams of protein, so they really do give you some energy to power through that mid-week board meeting, parent-teacher conference, or powerlifting competition you scheduled (what were you thinking?!).

Thank you, Maxine’s Heavenly, for sending me these cookies to review! These are fantastic cookies that taste like they were baked at home by Grandma! Visit their site to learn more about this awesome company and their products! When you make an order you will get the brand-new packaging pictured below!!!
