Vegan Treasures from August

August is just about over, so here are some treasures I found this month!

First up, is the Limited Edition Brownie Batter Oreos. Stop reading this… Put down your phone, iPad, laptop, and get in your car now and get these. Now.  Imagine making the darkest chocolate vegan brownies and eating the batter straight from the bowl. Then, add two crunchy chocolate cookies… These are so spot-on it actually shocked me.  I’ve made some pretty kick-ass brownies, and these, dare I say, beat them.  I’ve liked the seasonal limited edition Oreos in the past, like the Smores and Red Velvet versions, but these are by far the best.  I’ve read other rave reviews and I hope these bad boys become a permanent player on the Oreo team.

Next up, is Skinny Pop Hatch Chili Flavored Popcorn. This item is also limited edition (WHY?!!!!), and is quite delicious. As I’ve said before, I’m kind of a wuss when it comes to spicy foods, so I’m not sure why I got this is the first place, but I’m glad I did.  Light, crunchy, with a slight chili enduced burn, I killed an entire bag with no regrets. I believe I got 2 bags for $4.00, and will definitely be getting it again.

Next is Jack-o Traveler Pumpkin Shandy, from the makers of Curious Traveler and various other “traveler” beers.  After a brief research session, it is confirmed that this beer is vegan, and freakin’ delicious.  I believe this just may be the best pumpkin flavored beer I’ve had! The pumpkin flavor is strong and spiced like a true pumpkin pie, but it is still smooth.  The alcohol content is 4.4%, and a 6 pack is just under $10.00.  Well worth with it I’d say.  Come onnnnn Pumpkin flavored Everything!

And the last vegan (or at least it should be) treasure is the show Last Comic Standing on NBC.  I remember watching this when the series first aired, but haven’t watched since. If I do watch TV, I watch shows on Netflix. To be honest, I barely know how to use my remote… But for some reason I flipped to this show and the contestants are pretty hilario (that’s how cool kids say Hilarious).  The judges aren’t that entertaining, but they’re all famous for being funny so I guess they have to know something.  Tune in for a laugh (have some Pumpkin beer to make it funnier!).
What are your favorite things this month?

Good Stuff in July

Here’s a few vegan things that I used the hell out of in July…

Are your teeth looking not so white? Do you spend your days sipping on the strongest coffee known to man like I do? Well ladies and gentlebeans, this stuff is for you!

Smart Ash Teeth Whitener and Detoxifier is an awesome cruelty free and organic alternative to those slimy nasty whitestrips.  Its simple ingredients include; charcoal from coconut shells, calcium bentonite clay, along with orange peel and mint extract.  It claims to whiten and strengthen your teeth, is nontoxic, and is completely safe to use everyday.

Now, I’m not going to post my crazy looking teeth up here, but after 2-3 uses of this stuff, I had noticeably whiter and cleaner feeling teeth.  You only need to use a tiny bit, like pictured above.

When you use this, you can’t have a gigantic smile on your face like those freaks on the toothpaste commercials. You need to keep your mouth as closed as possible as you brush for a full 2 minutes. Otherwise, you will have black spit all over yourself and your bathroom.  Also, lean down and spit directly into the drain to avoid a huge mess in your sink.

This stuff is pretty awesome, and I will absolutely buy a full sized jar.  1 jar is $30, but they say it will last 6 months. Sounds go to me!  Get it from the link below.

Go be a Smart Ash!
Next up is Bai5 Molokai Coconut drink.  Oh coconut gods, you’ve done it again!  This tastes like a piña colada, and is virtually calorie free because it’s sweetened with stevia.  If I wanted to start some trouble, a few shots of rum and some mint could be pretty entertaining.  This bottle of fun cost $2.50 from CVS. This stuff makes me coco-nuts! Haha, I’m so funny.

Last up is not a product, but I’m going to say it’s safe to assume that it is cruelty free. If not, feel free to kick me.  This show really made me laugh.   Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a Netflix comedy series staring Ellie Kemper        (the redhead from The Office, Bridesmaids, and 21 Jump Street), and was created by Tina Fey.

In a few words, the show is about a woman that was part of a doomsday cult that gets rescued from an underground bunker where she was held captive for years and years. After her rescue, she gets into shananigans in NYC.  This show is a mix of “stupid funny”, hilarious 90’s references, and general moments that make you laugh and say “WTF”?  The second season won’t be out until March 2016, and I can’t wait!
